John Spinola

Mr. Spinola is a Vice President in the Ares Compliance Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2019, Mr. Spinola was a Senior Vice President in the compliance department at Paloma Partners, where he focused on overseeing investment management and regulatory compliance and administration of the adviser program for private funds and hedge funds. Previously, Mr. Spinola was a Vice President at Alger, where he focused broadly on all areas of the compliance program covering investment management and US and foreign regulatory compliance responsibilities. In addition, Mr. Spinola was a Vice President in the compliance department at Jennison Associates. Mr. Spinola began his career with various roles in client service and account management at Bridgewater Associates. Mr. Spinola holds a B.S. from the Gabelli School of Business in Business Administration, dual concentration in Finance and Information Systems.
