Mr. Latier is a Managing Director in the Ares Real Estate Group, where he focuses on U.S. industrial real estate equity portfolio management. He also serves on the Ares Real Estate Group's Combined Industrial Advisors Committee (CIAC) Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was a Managing Director, Portfolio Manager at Black Creek Group, where he led Build-to-Core III, the firm's industrial development partnership consisting of industrial development, value-add and core assets. Previously, he was a Financial Analyst at Prologis, where he was responsible for capital markets analysis, structuring debt transactions and developing financing strategies during the financial crisis of 2008. Mr. Latier is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) where he serves on the Industrial Development Forum as mentor in the Developing Leaders program and on the Editorial Board for NAIOP's Development Magazine. In 2019, he was elected to NAIOP Research Foundation Visionaries Program for rising industry leaders, 40 years of age and under. Mr. Latier is also involved with the University of Colorado-Boulder Real Estate Council, where he mentors students and guest lectures courses on real estate investment trusts and real estate finance. Mr. Latier holds a B.S. from the University of Arizona in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in Real Estate and Finance.
