Mr. Moran is a Managing Director and CIO of AREIT in Ares Real Estate, where he focuses on U.S. diversified real estate equity. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was a Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer for Black Creek Diversified Property Fund Inc., an investment platform sponsored by Black Creek Group. In this role, Mr. Moran oversaw all investment activity for Black Creek Diversified Property Fund Inc. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager in the Real Estate Investment Group at the Public Employees' Retirement Association of Colorado, where he was responsible for new investments and an existing portfolio in global real estate. In addition, he was a Vice President in the Capital Markets Group at Sonnenblick-Goldman, where he managed investment sales, mortgage placements and advisory assignments on behalf of large real estate investors and developers. Mr. Moran holds a B.B.A. and an MPAcc from the University of Texas Austin McCombs School of Business. Mr. Moran is a CFA® charterholder and is an active member of CFA Institute, Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).
