Global Alternative Investments
Who We Are
At Ares, we actively support our local communities and charities through firm-wide sponsorships, board positions, charitable donations and grass roots volunteerism. Throughout the year and across our global locations, our Ares In Motion (“AIM”) program offers a variety of opportunities that serve our diverse communities and engage our team members in a meaningful way. We are particularly proud of our Annual Global Volunteer Initiative, where employee volunteers select and plan a number of community-based events that range from community clean-ups and revitalization projects, preparing and providing essentials to those less fortunate, to hands-on classroom training and mentorship workshops for students in under-served communities.
Ares offers a variety of volunteer and community engagement opportunities to team members throughout the year. Team members are encouraged to share their event ideas, join regional planning committees, or participate as an event day volunteer.
Designed to support the personal charitable giving activities of our team members to eligible institutions by matching employee donations dollar for dollar.
Corporate Giving Program
Provides support to non-profit organizations and events through corporate sponsorship. Each year, Ares partners with various organizations dedicated to Education, Civics, Arts & Culture, and Disaster Relief.
Relief Efforts Program
Offers Ares team members an opportunity to aid Red Cross disaster relief, prevention and education, and armed services support efforts in the United States and around the world.
In 2017, the Ares team came together in a big way to support the needs of our communities through donor support, volunteering and awareness – below are the highlights.

WHAT AIM MEANS TO OUR TEAM MEMBERS
Our talented teams are what makes Ares great. We cultivate teams of intelligent, hard-working and caring professionals with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
"AIM events provide a unique opportunity for different business segments to collaborate and give back to our respective communities. One of my favorites is Cycle for Survival, an annual event affiliated with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center that raises funds for rare cancer research. As captain of the 40-person AIM Los Angeles team, I am proud to say that we not only consistently field one of the largest corporate teams, but also have been recognized as the top fundraising group among the 250+ teams in Southern California!"
"A big pull for me, here at Ares, are the AIM events. I’m a fan of the program. Since it is very difficult to balance work and home life, I appreciate the opportunities that Ares provides its employees to volunteer for such a worthwhile program!"
"I helped renovate the backyard of a school with a group of colleagues. It was a really awesome experience. I think one of the best parts was just seeing how well the team worked together. We had everyone pitching in to get projects completed, from college interns all the way up to executive level folks. We built picnic tables, we repainted the school entrance and we even created a giant mural together. It was so cool to see what we had accomplished when we were done. It turned out great!"
