Senior Partner

Mr. Sachs is a Senior Partner in the Ares Capital Markets Group.  Mr. Sachs serves as an Investment Committee member on all Ares Management funds. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Sachs was a principal of Onyx Partners, Inc. specializing in merchant banking and related capital raising activities in the private equity and mezzanine debt markets.  From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Sachs was employed by Taylor & Co., an investment manager providing investment advisory and consulting services to members of the Bass Family of Fort Worth, Texas.  From 1984 to 1990, Mr. Sachs was with Columbia Savings and Loan Association, most recently as Executive Vice President, responsible for all asset-liability management as well as running the Investment Management Department. Mr. Sachs serves on the Board of Directors of Terex Corporation.

Mr. Sachs serves on the McCormick Advisory Council at Northwestern University.

Mr. Sachs graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Industrial Engineering and Management Science.
