Mr. Bedore joined Ares in March 2010 and serves as a Senior Analyst in the Private Debt Group.  Mr. Bedore was a co-founder and principal of Emporia Capital Management which originated and ran the Emporia funds while under the Cohen and Company banner prior to the management contracts being acquired by Allied Capital Corporation in March 2009.  In his current role, Mr. Bedore is responsible or the handling of distressed accounts across the Asset Management Platform.  Mr. Bedore brings extensive asset-based and workout experience to his role, having worked as the Head of Asset Based Lending at PB Capital, as well as holding various portfolio management and workout responsibilities at GMAC Commercial Finance, Fleet Capital and Bank of America Business Credit.  In his various positions, he has been responsible for the origination and/or management of over $1B in total credit exposures, primarily to middle market and large corporate leveraged clients.  Combining a background centered in strong principled credit underwriting, with extensive experience in workout, corporate valuation, and stressed and distressed loan investing, he is highly regarded in the asset based lending and workout communities. 

Mr. Bedore holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration/Finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton, as well as a Master of Science in Accounting from Pace University.
