Senior Analyst

Mr. Alexander joined Ares in April 2010 in the Asset Management Group and serves as a Senior Analyst. Prior to joining Ares, Mr. Alexander became a Vice President in the Asset Management group of Allied Capital upon the acquisition of the management contracts of Emporia Capital Management by Allied Capital in March 2009. Prior to his tenure at Allied Capital, Mr. Alexander was a co-founder and Director of Emporia Capital Management, LLC, a $1.2 Bn middle market CLO platform. At Emporia, Mr. Alexander had a leadership role in all aspects of the start-up including underwriting, portfolio management, and operations. Prior to co-founding Emporia, Mr. Alexander spent seven years at PB (fka BHF) Capital Corporation where he was a lead underwriter and portfolio manager of middle market loans. After receiving his MBA from Columbia University and prior to moving on to BHF Capital, Mr. Alexander spent two years in Ernst & Young’s financial consulting unit, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising opportunities, and valuations.
