Director

Mr. Gebauer is a Director in the Ares Private Debt Group covering the German speaking, Benelux and CEE markets.  Mr. Gebauer joined Ares in 2009 from Dresdner Kleinwort where he headed the Leveraged Finance team and was responsible for overseeing 20 people focused on structuring and lead arranging deals within the German speaking and CEE regions.  From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Gebauer built up the German Acquisition Finance Team of Allied Irish Banks in Frankfurt, heading a team of 15 people with focus on participations and lead arranging business within the German market.  Prior to Allied Irish Banks, Mr. Gebauer held the position of Team Head within the Leverage Finance Group at Commerzbank and has in total over 16 years of leverage finance and banking experience.

Mr. Gebauer graduated from the University of Dortmund with his Masters in Business Administration and has completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
