Director

Mr. Helander is a Director in the Ares Private Debt Group. Mr. Helander joined Ares in 2008 from Barclays Capital where he worked as a Director within their Financial Sponsors Leveraged Finance origination team, covering the Nordic and the Germanic regions.  Prior to joining Barclays Capital, Mr. Helander was a member of the pan-European leveraged finance team of Mizuho Corporate Bank, the equity research team of the CSFB Technology Group and SEB Debt Capital Markets.

Mr. Helander graduated from Uppsala University in Sweden with a M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration, where he earned a scholarship to study at Illinois State University in the United States.
