Mr. Nguyen is Chief Financial Officer of Ares Management.  Mr. Nguyen joined Ares in 2000 from Arthur Andersen LLP, where he was in charge of conducting business audits on various financial institutions, performing due diligence investigation of potential mergers and acquisitions, and analyzing changes in accounting guidelines for derivatives.  At Arthur Andersen LLP, Mr. Nguyen also focused on treasury risk management and on mortgage backed securities and other types of structured financing. 

Mr. Nguyen graduated with a BS in Accounting from University of Southern California’s Laventhal School of Accounting and received his MBA in Global Business from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.  Mr. Nguyen also studied European business at Oxford University in England as part of the MBA curriculum.  Mr. Nguyen is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant.
