General Counsel & COO

Mr. Weiner is the Chief Legal Officer and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Ares Management.   Mr. Weiner joined Ares in 2006 from Apollo where he served as general counsel and had been an officer of the corporate general partners of Apollo since 1992.  Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Weiner was a partner in the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius specializing in corporate and alternative financing transactions, securities law and general partnership and corporate and regulatory matters. 

Mr. Weiner has served and continues to serve on the Boards of Directors of several corporations.  Mr. Weiner also serves on the Board of Governors of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. 

Mr. Weiner graduated with a BS in Business and Finance from the University of California at Berkeley and a JD from the University of Santa Clara.
